The LiveNote Stream Interface

When you connect to a session (see Attending Sessions for more information), the LiveNote Stream interface displays. The session interface allows you to view the video and transcript streams, send and reply to instant messages from other participants in your assigned group, and locate key terms in the transcript using the Word Index.

Transcript Toolbar

The transcript toolbar contains the following options:

Video Player

Use the video player to view a live stream of the deposition. Sessions that require video must be scheduled at least three business days (72 hours) in advance (see Scheduling Sessions for more information). In order to use the video player, you must be assigned Video rights for the session you are attending. Click the size buttons () above the video player to restore, expand and minimize the video player screen. If the video stream does not automatically start, refresh the page.

Chat

Use Chat to send and reply to instant messages from other participants in your assigned group. Click the Chat menu () at the top of the page and select a participant from the list. Select Everyone to chat with all participants. Type a message in the box provided and click SEND. Click () to minimize the chat window. If you receive a new message while the window is minimized, the chat window header flashes. In order to use chat, you must be assigned to a Chat group (see Scheduling Sessions for more information)

Word Index

Use the Word Index to quickly locate key terms and cross-reference them to other occurrences of that term in the transcript text. The Word Index lists every word and number alphanumerically (A-Z, 0-9) with the page:line number for each time a term displayed in the transcript. The Word Index automatically updates as new transcript lines are added or existing lines are updated.

To locate key transcript terms, do one of the following:

Once you locate a key term, click a page:line number to go to a highlighted instance of that term in the transcript. The transcript automatically pauses. Click the Play () button on the transcript toolbar to resume the transcript scroll.
